Flower Power.

Updated: Dec 8, 2019

Welcome all my hip people I do apologize for the waiting of this post. My allergies have been kicking my behind today, but moving on to the topic at hand.

As a little girl my mother started me off with gardening. I can remember my sister and I had a sunflower garden and we would also help her in her garden of various flowers and plants. In the beginning I couldn't stand it. But look at me now mom!

Donovan and I decided to start gardening about two years ago. At first we started off with veggies and morning glories in the pot just to see if we could do it. We then decided okay we are going to start planting in the front and then work our way to the back.

We have been working on the front now for about six months to a year. In the video the crepe myrtle and the two plants in between we planted the later part of last year as well as the smaller plants with new leaves budding. We had to cut them down during the winter months (prune them), but as you can see they are growing very beautifully.

The herb garden consist of lemon thyme, sage, lavender and peppermint. In the pots there are various flowers and the two rose bushes are across from one another and you then have the crepe myrtle.

The rose bush, peach hibiscus, various herb garden, and caladiums we planted this year. The process of planting can be very tiring. We literally dig holes and then go in to get all the grass root form out of the hole because we dont want the garden beds to be over ran by grass and the wild flowers that grow in Texas.

It took us about a good four to six hours to get everything dug, planted, mowed and weed ate. We also put down some fertilizer and plant food was administrated to all the plants.

Donovan and I find that gardening is great therapy for us. We enjoy getting out there and

you can see all the plants. In the barrels are different types of succulents.

getting dirty just to see how beautiful the outcome will be. We are also able to spend some time with one another talking and being able to connect with one another. The power of flower is so amazing.

If you guys would like to know more information or if there is anything I can do to make my blog better please do not hesitate to leave some kind constructive criticism. Thank you my hippies.
